Hay que plegar la base cuadrada. La cosa se complica más adelante. Estos primeros pasos son sencillos.

The first  steps are easy - you must fold the square base. Things get tricky further on.

Abrir y aplastar - Open and flatten

Dar vuelta y repetir del otro lado.
Turn over and repeat.

Plegar las cuatro 'alas' hacia el centro de los dos lados.
Fold both 'wings' to the center line on both sides.

8 - Abrir los pliegues anteriores
9 - Abrir y aplastar

8 - Unfold the previous step
9 - Open along the indicated lines and squash

Repetir en todos los cuadrantes (8 veces). Repeat 8 times.

Mis pliegues (y números)  no coinciden exactamente con el diagrama porque hice los pasos 6-10 en cada ala individualmente. El resultado final es el mismo.

My photos (and numbering) don't follow the diagram exactly, I folded steps 6-10 on each wing separately. The final result is the same, though. 

Ahora hay que plegar las puntas hacia el centro en los cuatro cuadrantes.

Now the tips must be valley folded towards the center (four times).

Y el triángulo que se forma en cada punta debe plegarse hacia abajo (también 4 veces)

And the tip triangle is then folded down as indicated.
