Fold the waterbomb base as indicated.

Comenzar a enrollar las puntas. El ángulo de enrollado debe producir un cono. Ayuda utilizar un palito de brochette o elemento similar, sobre todo para asegurar la punta.

Start curling up the wings. You're trying to get a cone of sorts. And notice the direction of the curls. All must be clockwise, or counterclockwise. Help yourself with a thin sitck or needle, especially to get good points. 

Como puede verse, todas las puntas deben enrollarse en la misma dirección y modelarse hasta que el papel 'recuerde' quedar bien enrollado.

Here's a view of how the curls go in the same direction. Roll and unroll until the paper 'remembers' the curl.

Para unir dos módulos hay que estirar dos puntas y volver a enrollarlas juntas.

To join unroll two points and roll them back together.

Para la construcción de este modelo en particular (cuboctaedro de 12 unidades) hay que formar 4 triángulos -uniendo 3 módulos-. Los cuadrados resultan de unir dos triángulos, enrollando en el centro un total de 4 aletas. Ver el mapa en la próxima ilustración.

To build the Cuboctahedron (12 units) you first join 4 triangles. The squares result from joining 2 triangles together (4 curled tabs together). See map in the next image.

The structure of the triangle: At the center, 3 tabs rolled up together, and then join the remaining tabs in twos with a single one in between.

This is another possible way of joining the triangles with all 3-tab unions. Perhaps it's an octahedron?
